Invodo secures series B funding

Extending video products for online retailers

Invodo®, the de facto hub for product videos, recently closed $6 million in Series B funding from Sevin Rosen and S3 Ventures.

With the largest product video library in the world, Invodo has established itself as a leader in the ecommerce video space.  The company has expanded its video content library to over 20,000 product videos from more than 1,900 manufacturers and now syndicates product videos to over 850 ecommerce sites.

The Series B funding was raised to expand market presence, enhance the delivery platform and to accelerate sales and marketing activities. The deal was led by Jackie Kimzey, General Partner with Sevin Rosen, and Brian R. Smith, Managing Director of S3, both of whom are enthusiastic about Invodo’s prospects.  “It’s been very promising for Invodo to establish itself as an early leader in this tough market. The additional funding comes with considerable confidence that the company will continue to scale its customer base and expand its value proposition within the online economy,” states Kimzey.

Rich Media with Video Ads increase sales

SaleGoogle is soon to release a study that confirms what Invodo has continually preached…. VIDEO INCREASES SALES.  This recent study conducted by DoubleClick and commissioned by Google concluded that rich media ads containing video increase purchase intent by 1.16% and drive success more than four times that of Flash.

In addition to the increase in purchase intent, video ads appear to increase consumer brand loyalty.  Viewers favored a brand 2.30% more when exposed to rich media with a video ad opposed the tiny 0.15% increase simple Flash animation experienced.  Overall, video outperforms all other types of creative media ads.

Invodo grabs attention at Internet Retailer

Invodo recently received a very credible mention at the 2009 Internet Retailer Conference in Boston.  Ina Steiner from AuctionBytes, a blog focusing on news and insight pertaining to ecommerce, recently recapped her first day at InternetRetailer by highlighting Invodo.

Among the intriguing and exciting exhibits she highlighted were Microsoft’s Bing search engine, Veruta’s online advertising model, and Invodo’s free video syndication platform!  Invodo is very flattered to be noticed at such a key industry event such as Internet Retailer.

Invodo catwalks through FFaNY

Blue Fringe SandalInvodo just returned from the 2009 FFaNY shoe show in New York City where we captured video of the 2009 Spring/Summer collections as well as a sneak peak at the Fall/Winter styles.

Espadrilles and wedges were definitely the hot Summer shoe at FFaNY. Wedges are a great staple to any shoe collection because they give you the height of a heel with the casual ease of a sandal.  If you like to be closer to the ground, don’t worry!  Flat, strappy sandals were everywhere! From studded leather accents to soft metallic tones, it was clear that a great sandal is a Summer must-have.

Already thinking about your next pair of boots for Fall?  Try a motorcycle inspired boot to spice up some jeans or your favorite dress.  If you want to play around, fringe is always a fun option.  Don’t go overboard however….. less is more.
